Love and death mark the tormented life of Orsola Bandini, the eternal presence of Palazzo Tozzoni in Imola, and of Elizabeth Eleanor Siddal, the Ophelia of the famous Pre-Raphaelite painting preserved at the Tate Gallery in London. Two beautiful women who lived thirty years apart in the 19th century, two stories of love and hate with their husband set respectively in Imola and London, two lives marked by the untimely death of their children, and by the physical and mental pain that wears out their body and their thought until their death that takes them away still young, the boundless and sick love of their spouses in a desire for eternity. The sound suggestion of In Hora Amoris is built on the touching poems written by Elizabeth, words that, through the voice of the performer Samantha Stella, a white presence in the palace, will give shape to the dramatic and romantic destiny of the two women.
A performance by Samantha Stella presented by Musei Civici di Imola, Palazzo Tozzoni and Il Pomo da Damo. The short film In Hora Amoris, directed by the artist and acquired in the museum collection, will be screened at Palazzo Tozzoni.

Amore e morte segnano la vita tormentata di Orsola Bandini, l’eterna presenza di Palazzo Tozzoni a Imola, e di Elizabeth Eleanor Siddal, l’Ofelia del celebre dipinto Preraffaellita conservato alla Tate Gallery di Londra. Due bellissime donne vissute a trent’anni di distanza nel XIX secolo, due storie d’amore e odio con il proprio marito ambientate rispettivamente a Imola e a Londra, due vite segnate dalla prematura morte dei loro figli, e dal dolore fisico e mentale che ne logora il corpo e il pensiero sino alla loro stessa morte che le coglie ancora giovani, lo smisurato e malato amore dei loro coniugi in un desiderio di eternità. Sono le struggenti poesie scritte da Elizabeth a tessere la suggestione sonora di In Hora Amoris, parole che, attraverso la voce della performer Samantha Stella, bianca presenza nel palazzo, daranno corpo al destino drammatico e romantico delle due donne.
Una performance di Samantha Stella presentata da Musei Civici di Imola, Palazzo Tozzoni e Il Pomo da Damo. L'opera video In Hora Amoris, diretta dall'artista ed acquisita nella collezione del museo, sarà proiettata a Palazzo Tozzoni.
